Amsterdam Days (1/2 or 1 day)

Welcome to Amsterdam; known for being the city of freedom and the world’s most liberal city.

During the Golden Age, people from all over the world came to the city to be part of the flourishing economic and cultural period. Nowadays, with 180 different nationalities and 800.000 inhabitants, Amsterdam is still one of the most multicultural cities in the world!

Go back in time and follow the story of the Dutch East India company (VOC): the first multinational company in the world. Witness the wealth that came along with trading during that period, as you explore the mansions along the UNESCO World Heritage preserved Canal Belt.

Visit one of the world-class museums in the Museum Quarter such as the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, or one of the numerous cultural institutions that Amsterdam has.

Explore the small streets that had been inspiration to famous painters such as Rembrandt, Johannes Vermeer and Jan Steen and walk through the characteristic Nine Streets and the typical charming area of the Jordaan.  Discover the hidden almshouses or ‘hofjes’ and the hidden churches. Have a drink at a local liquor bar or a typical Dutch brown cafe, before strolling over to one of the markets. Visit the many mouth-watering food specialty shops, shop for diamonds, antiques, art, jewellery or fashion items, go vintage at Waterlooplein or visit local and international designer boutiques and shops around the city.

You can explore the city by foot, bicycle or boat, or even a combination of all three. Amsterdam has plenty to offer everyone. Just let us know your interests and we will tailor your programme for you to make the most of your visit.

A Night in Amsterdam

Feel the throbbing nightlife in the city that never sleeps, as you stroll through the city’s famous nightspots. Walk past bustling eateries and vibrant bars in the Red Light District, past carefully painted faces behind red-lit windows, special ‘coffee’ shops that you have heard so much about, throngs of people and voices in different languages. Amsterdam nightlife certainly has something to offer everyone.

Walk or cruise along the 17th century canals, in the city of painters, writers and merchants. Immerse yourself in the grandeur of monumental buildings and homes and unique houseboats.

Enjoy a balmy summer evening drink amongst chatty locals or a romantic interlude in an elegant courtyard. In the winter, enjoy equally cosy candlelit winter evenings, with hot chocolate or mulled wine and the season’s best. Or dance the night away.

Contact us for the various itinerary options and suggestions and we will make sure that you will enjoy a special evening in Amsterdam!

One can learn not only about their uses and how they had evolved over the years, but also have a peek into Western society throughout the past 500 years.

Shop or window-shop along the famous shopping streets. You can find fashion, jewellery and decorative items; the latest season from famous luxury brands, unique creations from

local designers or visit the special markets and shops for vintage clothing, antiques or art.

The Hague

The Hague Royale (1/2 or 1 day)

Explore the royal city of The Hague, the administrative capital of The Netherlands.

Throughout its 800 year-old history, it has been home to kings and queens, grand palaces and now, the Dutch Parliament. The picturesque Buitenhof and Binnenhof area, housing both the Parliament and Senate buildings, and the Knights’ Hall is certainly worth a visit. The Noordeinde Palace, the official working palace of HM King Willem-Alexander is just a few minutes walk away, and if you are lucky, you may witness a ceremonial occasion.

The Hague is also known as the International City of Peace and Justice, and is home to the splendid Peace Palace (which houses the International Court of Justice) and a number of other international organisations. This combined with its Dutch East Indies heritage makes The Hague culturally rich, as well as a vibrantly international city, where both international and Dutch visitors feel at home.

The Hague is situated near the coast hence within easy access to well known beaches, the most popular being Scheveningen. Other famous attractions include the Mauritshuis, where you can find Vermeer’s ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’, and Madurodam.

There is much to see as you wander along its cobbled streets and tree-lined avenues: monumental buildings, churches, squares, museums, art galleries, fashionable shops and boutiques where you can buy art, jewellery, antiques, vintage items and bric-a-brac.

Various tour options are available. In addition, special events are organised throughout the city, especially in the summer months. Please contact us to find out what is on, or let us know what you have in mind and we can provide you with suggestions on what you can do during your visit/stay in The Hague.
